Features
BrochureBoss is one product: a desktop publishing app that runs in the browser now and ships as a downloadable desktop app later.
-
Opens existing Microsoft Publisher .pub files
So nothing gets stranded when Publisher retires. Most documents convert cleanly. Fonts you have installed and standard layouts come through well. Very complex documents may need small fixes — there is a checklist for what to look at.
-
Frame-based page layout
The same way Publisher works, not a freeform canvas. If you already know how to move text frames and picture frames, you are not relearning a new tool from scratch.
-
Templates for the jobs you actually do
Flyers, brochures, newsletters, business cards, postcards, and bulletins. Built for churches, schools, nonprofits, real estate agents, event organizers, HOA boards, and small businesses — not for people who want to become designers.
-
Mail merge from a spreadsheet or CSV
For mailers and address labels. Pull names and addresses from a file you already have, the way you did in Publisher.
-
Print-ready PDF export
Hand it to a print shop. Exports include proper bleed and crop marks — not a web export that comes back with the colors wrong.
-
Open file format on your computer
Your files stay yours. Save and back them up yourself. Nothing is locked to an account. The format is open and documented so your work stays readable whether or not this company is still here in five years.
Honest limits: The browser beta is available now. A downloadable desktop app is planned for early 2027. .pub import handles most documents well; complex layouts may need small fixes. We do not pretend otherwise.
