  • Will it open my old .pub files?

    Yes. That is the main reason it exists.

  • Do I have to install anything?

    Not for the beta. It runs in your browser. A downloadable desktop version is coming in early 2027.

  • Is it really free?

    The browser beta is free with no limits and no watermark. Opening .pub files will always be free.

  • Will my printer accept the PDF?

    Yes. Exports are print-ready with proper bleed and crop marks, the same as Publisher produced.

  • Do I need to know design?

    No. Start from a template, replace the text and photos, print.

  • Can I do mail merge?

    Yes, from a spreadsheet or CSV, for mailers and address labels.

  • Where do my files live?

    On your computer, in an open format you can back up yourself. Nothing is locked to an account.

  • What happens if this company goes away?

    Your files still open. That is why the format is open and documented.

  • Is my old Publisher layout going to come through exactly?

    Most of it will. Fonts you have installed and standard layouts convert cleanly. Very complex documents may need small fixes, and there is a checklist for what to look at.
